The headline from Parentkind’s ‘School Complaints Report 2025’ sounds startling: five million parental complaints in the last year. However, what also comes through from survey results is that most parents believe their child’s school has respect for parents and find staff approachable. They trust teachers to act in the best interest of their child. However, they are not intimidated when it comes to expressing concerns or complaints.
School Complaints Report 2025 is the result of a survey with 2,000 parents in June 2025. Some of the headlines are stark reading:
But what also comes through is that the majority of parents have trust and faith in their child’s school and teachers.
If there is a problem though, or something they are concerned about, parents are going to say so.
